In-vehicle anti-collision systems continue to evolve and could eliminate some incidents altogether. John Kendall rounds up the current developments. It detects and records prosecutable evidence of drivers and front-seat passengers who fail to wear seat belts and identifies drivers using mobile phones while behind the wheel. Additionally, it reads licence plates and identifies the make and model of vehicles.
