Vix in deployment of RTPI signs across London

Vix has announced the completion of a wide scale installation of new real time passenger information (RTPI) signs across London. The 1,250 signs deployed are a part of the Countdown project which delivers real time bus information for every one of the 19,000 bus stops and 700 routes in London.

6256 Vix has announced the completion of a wide scale installation of new real time passenger information (RTPI) signs across London. The 1,250 signs deployed are a part of the Countdown project which delivers real time bus information for every one of the 19,000 bus stops and 700 routes in London.

Vix worked with a number of partners including Data Display and Pageantry to ensure that delivery of the signs happened ahead of schedule and well in time for the Olympics which will see a significant increase in demand for passenger information. The use of new display technology also means improved readability for passengers.
