The re-designed Vitronic TollChecker sensor and scanner housings on a single-gantry.
A major feature of machine vision specialist 147 Vitronic’s stand at the ITS World Congress will be the fourth generation of its proven TollChecker single gantry solution. This company says this latest generation, which will be deployed on the Ecotaxe project in France to be implemented on 15,000 km of French roads, combines excellent performance data with easy and flexible installation and service.

Also being featured, Vitronic’s PoliScan systems for speed and red light enforcement are now available with a new touchscreen user interface. The new full ruggedised tablet PC optionally available, is used to make the operation of the PoliScan systems even easier than before. PoliScan systems simultaneously capture several vehicles in different lanes with rates of usable images that are up to three times higher than those of other systems, the company says.

As Vitronic points out, all of its systems operate with laser-based scanners (LIDAR) which means no in-road installations such as induction loops and sensors are required which lowers installation and maintenance costs.
