VideoTec's Enrico Dani with the Ulisse Compact PTZ
Italian company 1950 Videotec is undertaking a major launch here at Intertraffic with a full HD 1080p version of its field-proven and reliable outdoor Ulisse Compact PTZ. The new device is an IP66 full HD network camera PTZ that delivers excellent high-definition video quality. It incorporates a 20x optical zoom lens and is able to accurately identify specific details of a scene.

The flexible operator control of its Pan/Tilt/Zoom functions allows transmission of the images over Ethernet with H.264/AVC and MJPEG compression, certified ONVIF, Profile S. The unit can deliver from 2 to 4 H.264/AVC or MJPEG streams simultaneously, up to a total of 20Mbits, depending on the unit configuration. The Ulisse Compact HD response to operator commands is immediate.

The camera has day/night functionality for high image quality in low light conditions. Moreover, Videotec says the optional integrated LED illuminator delivers round-the-clock clear images of the area. Thanks to the built-in wiper, the image is always perfectly clear and there is a wide choice of washer kits available.

Videotec says that due to its characteristics of reliability, robustness and accuracy, this unit is the ideal solution for demanding security applications, including: traffic and highways control, borders, stadium and industrial surveillance, prisons, military installations and perimeter surveillance.

Other notable products being featured on Videotec’s stand are the Geko IRH state-of-the-art illuminator, which lights the entire scene evenly, eliminating hotspots and underexposures, for unbeatable night-time images and secure surveillance, and the NXM36 camera housing which has been developed for installations in highly corrosive areas.
