Viajeo Plus sustainable urban mobility showcase

The event aims at facilitating knowledge exchange and experience sharing between China and Europe on sustainable urban mobility. It will gather technical experts, policy makers and researchers to present their achievements on sustainable urban mobility solutions, to discuss their needs and to exchange their experiences with implementation of innovative technologies or policies.

A site visit to see Chengdu 6865 BRT systems has been organised for 12 November and on 13 November participants will also have opportunities to participate in all activities of 7794 Michelin Challenge Bibendum, including technical demonstration and social events.
 
The event supported by the Viajeo Plus consortium is part of Michelin Challenge Bidendum, which is the global summit for sustainable transport.

  • NTSB: Uber’s AV in fatal crash ‘had software issues’

    The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has found that an Uber autonomous vehicle which killed Elaine Herzberg last year had software flaws. NTSB released a report which says the Volvo XC60’s autonomous system software classified the pedestrian as an unknown object and determined that an emergency braking manoeuvre was needed to mitigate the collision.
