T3 Webinars are sponsored by the ITS PCB Program, which is a part of the ITS Joint Program Office (781 ITS JPO) at U.S. Department of Transportation's (USDOT) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology.

Two speakers from the USDOT will introduce the Connected Vehicle Research Program, and describe the concept, technology, and benefits and challenges of connected vehicles. The webinar will also address how connected vehicles affect safety, mobility, and the environment. The three main components of the research program include the applications, technology, and policy/institutional issues. The webinar will conclude with information on how to get involved in the Connected Vehicle Research Program.

    The USDOT will hold its next two connected vehicle PlugFests on 13-15 May in Farmington Hills, Michigan and on 24-26 June in Palo Alto, California.
