Telvent announced that it has completed the deployment of an Open Road Tolling System (ORT) on the new 183A Expressway Northern Extension near Austin, Texas.

134 Telvent announced that it has completed the deployment of an Open Road Tolling System (ORT) on the new 183A Expressway Northern Extension near Austin, Texas.

“The new tolling system is a highly accurate, state-of-the-art system, capable of meeting the demands of a growing population while improving traffic flow and reducing greenhouse gas emissions caused by stop-and-go driving,” said Ignacio Gonzalez, Chairman and CEO of Telvent.

The SmartMobility ORT system allows drivers to travel at highway speeds on the cashless toll road and supports motorists who prefer to use the pay-by-mail option.
