Transport for London (TfL) is inviting community and not-for-profit groups across London to apply for grants to get their communities cycling. This year TfL is making available up to US$393,000 (£300,000) to help 30 groups offer a range of cycling initiatives aimed at people who may not otherwise ride a bike. Members of the public are invited to trial a fleet of driverless pods operating on a 3.4km route around Greenwich Peninsula as part of the £100m ($139m) Gateway project’s final phase. The pilot aims to understand the public acceptance of, and attitudes towards, driverless vehicles.
