Swarco has merged its Irish operations to create a new business entity.

Swarco Ireland has been formed following the acquisition of Elmore Group in July last year, and its successful integration with existing operations in the country over the last six months.

The Austrian traffic technology corporation acquired 100% of the shares in the Irish family-owned firm; the companies have worked together over several decades in the fields of LED traffic lights and traffic control.

The combined business, based in Dublin, will continue to leverage the capability and solutions of Swarco and Elmore’s "end-to-end solutions to deliver its full combined portfolio of turnkey ITS and solutions to new and existing customers".

“It marks a significant integration milestone and growth opportunity, further enhancing our capability in Ireland,” says John Pickworth, Swarco head of region for the UK and Ireland.

“I am looking forward to working closely with the team, harnessing their experience, knowledge and expertise. The combined team will help to further cement and grow our position in Ireland as an ITS innovator and leader by providing new and existing customers throughout the region with the very best solutions, service and support.”
