Startups and students featured at 2014 ITS World Congress

The next generation of ITS technology is on display in a special Entrepreneurial Village (Booth: 826) and Youth Connections Showcase (Booth: 2740) at 2014 6456 ITS World Congress.

560 ITS America and corporate sponsor Quicken Loans invited seven U.S.-based startups to exhibit on the showroom floor, highlighting the importance of innovation and competition for the future of the transportation industry. The startups will also have an opportunity to pitch prospective investors as part of the ITS America Investor Matching Event.

ITS America also invited 1,000 high school students from the southeast Michigan area to conduct builds on the showroom floor, test their creations on a test track and network with industry professionals. Guided tours will highlight potential career tracks for the engineering-minded students. ITS America partnered with Square One Education Network, a non-profit organisation that provides Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programming for students.
