South Africa prepares for biennial i-Transport Conference

ITS South Africa will host its biennial International i-Transport Conference and Exhibition on 26 – 27 May at Gallagher, Midrand and the theme for the event is Be Moved – Smart Cities/Smart Mobility. The first day will have a plenary with the focus on policy and strategy and the second day will have two parallel sessions linking the theme.

6992 ITS South Africa will host its biennial International i-Transport Conference and Exhibition on 26 – 27 May at Gallagher, Midrand and the theme for the event is Be Moved – Smart Cities/Smart Mobility.

The first day will have a plenary with the focus on policy and strategy and the second day will have two parallel sessions linking the theme. Session one is titled ‘Connected Traveller’ and will explore the clamour for real time information, smart cities and big data while the second ‘Connected Operations’ session starts with an overview of the cyber threat before considering freeway management, vehicle tracking and intelligent decision support.
