A new programme is being launched in Loughborough to help local businesses make commuting and business travel cheaper, easier and more sustainable.

Smartgo Loughborough will provide Loughborough employers and their staff with a range of travel benefits and services to save money, improve health and enhance corporate responsibility. The programme also includes transport expertise and collaboration opportunities with other employers and transport providers.

Smartgo networks are co-ordinated by sustainable travel specialist, Go Travel Solutions, which is focused on bringing together the best in transport, environmental and marketing practice. Go Travel Solutions works in collaboration with leading transport consultants, operators and marketers to tailor solutions to the requirements of customers. The collective membership of the existing Leicester, Milton Keynes and Stevenage networks is over 65 businesses, covering over 69,000 employees.

Nicky Morgan, MP for Loughborough said: “I’ve followed the development of the Smartgo Loughborough programme and am delighted to be able to support the launch event. It represents a great opportunity for local businesses and their employees to transform their approaches to business travel and commuting.”
