Scotland’s Minister for Transport and the Islands is the keynote speaker; and 20-plus low carbon vehicles form the basis of conference and exhibition. SUMS 2017 is co-located with All-Energy, the UK’s renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference, and is sponsored by All-Energy’s headline sponsor, Shepherd and Wedderburn.

Forty speakers will be taking part in SUMS 2017 over the two days. These include Humza Yousaf, MSP, who will be speaking on ’Transport in Scotland: Now and in the next 10 years’ master-minded by 505 Transport Scotland, chaired by their Chief executive, Roy Brannen.
 
Transport Scotland speakers include Heather Cowan, head of transport strategy and European funding; Alison Irvine, head of technical analysis; Archie Stoddart, head of the sustainable transport unit; and Stephen Thomson, head of environment & sustainability. The session ends with a presentation by Marina Bauer of the Energy Saving Trust.
 
Other free-to-attend sessions include two on smart cities, as well as single 90-minute sessions on connected and autonomous vehicles and renewable.
 
1731 BMW, 8534 Tesla, 6453 Citroen, Peugeot, 1686 Toyota, 5229 Kia, 2453 Renault, 838 Nissan and 1684 Hyundai will all be exhibiting their hybrid and electric vehicles, with more expected to join the SUMS 2017 fleet during the final week before the show.
