5564 Skyline Technology Solutions is introducing the OneView video sharing solution at ITS World Congress. Expanding on Skyline’s OneView Portal, this integrated solution empowers transportation agencies to share video with a wide range of stakeholders.
“Issues such as network security, video compatibility, network bandwidth and the ability to scale have prevented agencies from sharing video that would enhance traffic management, emergency response, public safety and public awareness,” explained Brent Isenberg, Skyline business development. “OneView enables a level of sharing that has not been there before.”
BMS Bicycle Management System is the new way of cycle parking designed to provide a solution to many city councils to get their city centres neat and clean and encourage bicycle use. The system incorporates a mobile app that enables a cyclist to easily find a free bike parking place at their destination on a smartphone.
Cloud Parc is debuting its smart parking camera solutions in the Entrepreneurial Village, highlighting its ability to automatically detect unused parking spaces through visual analysis. The Swiss Federal Roads Office (FEDRO), as regulator of roads issues and as constructor and operator of motorways, will present its project for a traffic management control system based on a service oriented architecture called INA (Integrated Applications). The regional traffic management centre of Zurich (RL-VRZ) will demonstrate how cooperation between the canton, the cities of Zurich and Winterthur, as well as the management of the national roads in the agglomeration of Zurich, works.
Vendeka is here at the ITS World Congress to highlight the free flow tolling system it is applying on Turkey’s highways. The system supports 2–5 axles vehicle classes at speeds of up to 195 km/h across up to six lanes. The system can also cope with low speed vehicle passes, clusters, short distance tailgating, and it also works on emergency lanes. Indeed, Vendeka reports that the system can get accurate results about lane changing and merging while multi-lane traffic flow can be detected.
