5564 Skyline Technology Solutions is introducing the OneView video sharing solution at ITS World Congress. Expanding on Skyline’s OneView Portal, this integrated solution empowers transportation agencies to share video with a wide range of stakeholders.
“Issues such as network security, video compatibility, network bandwidth and the ability to scale have prevented agencies from sharing video that would enhance traffic management, emergency response, public safety and public awareness,” explained Brent Isenberg, Skyline business development. “OneView enables a level of sharing that has not been there before.”
This ITS World Congress sees Vitronic presenting its next-generation of Lidar (Light Detection And Ranging) traffic enforcement in North America. The new and enhanced PoliScan system offers not only best-in-class speed and red light enforcement but enables authorities to enforce additional violations such as tailgating, point-to-point speed enforcement, and ANPR applications simultaneously from the one fixed location.
Moxa, the German producer of industrial automation products, will be showing a range of its products, including industrial Ethernet switches and industrial wireless AP devices with resilient self-healing Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain technology and Turbo Roaming, allowing ITS operators access to high performance wired or wireless Ethernet technology with good bandwidth. Other products include what Moxa describes as the world’s first serial device server for connecting legacy devices such as VMS.
Seeing an opportunity to streamline the way people rent, borrow and use vehicles, Verizon has announced a new car-sharing platform that allows drivers to rent vehicles by scanning a QR barcode with their mobile device. The announcement, made yesterday at the World Congress, promised that the wireless platform will be available by the end of the year.
