Singapore to Host 26th ITS World Congress in 2019

Singapore has won the rights to host the 26th Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World Congress 2019. The ITS World Congress provides a platform for government transport agencies, industry players and academic/research institutions to exchange information, share views, as well as to review and showcase the latest global ITS products, services, plans, technological achievements and upcoming trends. Singapore has won the rights to host the 26th Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World Congress 2019.

The 6456 ITS World Congress provides a platform for government transport agencies, industry players and academic/research institutions to exchange information, share views, as well as to review and showcase the latest global ITS products, services, plans, technological achievements and upcoming trends. This conference typically attracts about 5,000 participants from all over the world annually.

Chew Men Leong, chief executive of Singapore’s 918 Land Transport Authority (LTA) said, “We are honoured to be chosen to host the ITS World Congress in 2019. With Singapore moving towards being a Smart Nation, we are well placed to host this prestigious event.  We will take this opportunity to showcase how we have been able to use smart technology and other innovative ways to transform our land transport systems and, in turn, improve travelling experience of all users.”
