Since opening late last year, line six is said to carry an average of 100,000 passengers daily and is helping to reduce congestion on other lines of the network.
Through the agreement, 80 TVMs will vend and recharge the Chilean system’s Bip! farecards while 150 vending/recharging machines will be deployed with the intention of working with these cards.
Metro line three is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2018 and will host 164 TVMs across 21 stations. Line six currently has 66 TVMs over 10 stations.
These machines will be manufactured under the SICE brand.
