Revealed: the SESAMES Awards 2013 winners in full

Ten companies are celebrating this morning after the winners of the SESAMES Awards were announced at a gala reception in the Automobile Club de Paris (pictured) last night. The purpose of the 11 awards – the Oscars of the secure payments industry – is to recognise and reward the sector’s best innovations every year.

Ten companies are celebrating this morning after the winners of the SESAMES Awards were announced at a gala reception in the Automobile Club de Paris (pictured) last night. The purpose of the 11 awards – the Oscars of the secure payments industry – is to recognise and reward the sector’s best innovations every year.

From cloud technology to voice biometry, from advanced e-passports to product which will help protect Brazil’s Amazon rainforest, via a video screen which allows users to exchange information by just placing their NFC phone near it, the winners of 2013 are incredibly varied – but have one thing in common: excellence.

The judges, who are all experts in the industry, arrived at their decision after lengthy deliberation, whittling down the SESAMES list from more than 30 high quality finalists – and over 300 first-round submissions. Think&Go NFC can be forgiven for having the broadest smile this morning – the French firm won two of the coveted trophies: in the Mobility category and the Discovery prize.

And the winners of the awards are:
