QVisions Margret F Yova shows off the Live Loop Video traffic system
ITS America veterans know it’s nearly impossible to come away from the annual exposition without a suitcase filled with company branded key chains, pens and thumb drives. Its just one of many perks of coming to the show. However, newcomer 7313 QVision is upping the ante, giving away two packages of its Live Loop Video traffic systems to conference goers—a $250,000 worth.

Transportation officials from North American DOTs are encouraged to stop by the company’s booth or visit its website to enter the contest. Two packages (one 50-camera system and one 100-camera system) will be awarded in 2013. Each package includes perpetual software licenses, video processing, hardware review and implementation.

An alternative to live streaming video, QVision reduces the infrastructure, bandwidth and administrative overhead required in a typical streaming video deployment according to Margaret Yova, a vice president for the company, Live Loop can achieve 90 percent cost savings over traditional systems.

The system has been in operation along the San Diego – Tijuana border for three years, and the giveaway is the company’s official launch into the marketplace.
