IRIS Corporation’s DLP400 Series is, the company says, the world’s first smart desktop laser marker that can be used for both passports and cards. It offers high functionality to meet growing demand for a wide range of identification issuance solutions among government bodies, financial institutions, healthcare providers, insurance companies, universities and card retailers.

Currently, engravers are only able to fulfil a single function, either to engrave on a passport or a card in a pre-defined format. The DLP400 Series is able to engrave on both passports and cards using the same unit without compromising security. This immediately reduces the number of units required for issuance, saving cost. The DLP400 Series is portable and compact with dimensions 510 x 680 x 622mm, allowing for flexibility in usage.
