Onemile launches e-scooter rental service which comes with seating pad
Chinese technology start-up Onemile has launched its electric scooter rental service which comes with a seating pad to help improve rider safety.
The company’s Halo City scooters are available in Hawaii, Paris, London and Berlin.
Onemile aims to offer its service at mid and long-term rental and says it will provide an integrated parking location and management system.

A free webinar by Dr Peter Harrop, IDTechEx on Tuesday 10 June will share some of the research carried out for the new IDTechEx report, Hybrid and Pure Electric Cars 2014-2024.
It encompasses hybrid and pure electric on-road cars, golf cars, neighbourhood electric vehicles NEV and the car-like micro EVs and quadricycles. On-road hybrid cars are a success in developed countries and micro EVs are a success in developing countries. Pure electric on-road cars will become successful within the coming decade.
ST Engineering has added BYD as its first partner in a consortium which seeks to deploy driverless buses in Singapore.
The company is equipping BYD’s electric buses with autonomous vehicle technology. The vehicles will operate in the towns of Punggol, Tengah and the Juroung Innovation District located in Singapore’s western corridor.
The consortium is being formed following a request from Singapore’s Land Transport Authority and the Singapore Economic Development Board to trial autonomous buses and shut
