New names at Cohu’s helm

Cohu has announced two new senior appointments at the top of its Electronics Division: Thomas D Kampfer is Cofu Electronics’ new President and General Manager; Nuriel Lapidot is the division’s new Vice President of Engineering.

29 Cohu has announced two new senior appointments at the top of its Electronics Division: Thomas D Kampfer is Cohu Electronics’ new President and General Manager; Nuriel Lapidot is the division’s new Vice President of Engineering.

Kampfer has over 25 years’ experience in a wide range of technology businesses, from startups to public companies. Most recently he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of a San Diego-based manufacturer of electronic device accessories for athletes.

Lapidot has previously held a variety of senior engineering management positions at Curtiss-Wright, Kontron, NextWave Broadband, L-3 Communications and Qualcomm. He holds an MSME degree from MIT and a BSME degree from Cornell University.

Kampfer and Lapidot are at National Harbor this week for the ITS America Annual Meeting  where Cohu Electronics is exhibiting its range of high-performance camera systems. These are now centre stage on Cohu’s redesigned and relaunched website. This now includes a support section where customers can find downloads, documentation and software support for all Cohu cameras.

    TransCore has been selected by the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission (NJMC) to deploy the SCATS adaptive traffic control system across almost 130 intersections in the Hackensack Meadowlands District – the fourth-largest deployment of its type in the US.
