“The ITS industry is well represented by the ITS Australia Board. Board members have a vast range of skill sets and experiences across government, industry and academia, and will continue to provide strong guidance and oversight of the organisation,” said Negus.

“The Board now looks forward to 2017 and ensuring we build on the momentum created by the World Congress. Strong promotion of smart solutions in the transport sector and providing business connections across Australia and the broader world-wide ITS sector for our members will be a focus for the Board. As Australia’s peak ITS industry organisation, we will continue to lead the discussion and provide our more than one hundred member organisations with significant benefits.”

Negus also acknowledged the considerable contribution made by outgoing Board members, Adam Game, Intelematics and Peter Leihn, Data61. In particular, Game was thanked for his near two decades of service to ITS Australia, as a Board member and key contributor to the organisation’s development over this period.
