New head for transport body

Carole Coune has now taken over as secretary general of the International Transport Forum at the OECD. Coune, a Belgian national, takes over from Jack Short, who is retiring, as leader of the Paris-based intergovernmental organisation which brings together 52 nations from around the globe.

Carole Coune has now taken over as secretary general of the 998 International Transport Forum at the OECD. Coune, a Belgian national, takes over from Jack Short, who is retiring, as leader of the Paris-based intergovernmental organisation which brings together 52 nations from around the globe. “I am looking forward to building on the accomplishments of my predecessor and continuing the evolution of the International Transport Forum as the leading global platform for serious debate on the future of transport,” said Coune.

    The European Mobility Group recently announced its new president and secretary who will serve for an initial three-year term. Campbell McKee, former managing director and latterly chairman of Unwin Safety Systems, and Jacqui Jones, executive director of Mobility Choice, the charity behind the Mobility Roadshow and Get Going Live! events, were unanimously voted in by the EMG members as president and secretary/treasurer respectively.
