City authorities worldwide need to work more closely together to shape the future of on-demand transportation services. Such co-operation could help reduce congestion and pollution, and improve the lives of citizens - that is the view of leading international experts who will be addressing 8545 MaaS Market – Concept to Delivery – the third Mobility as a Service (MaaS) conference to be run by ITS International.

Due to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, on 9 and 10 May, the conference has the official support of both the SRTA and the City of Atlanta.

“The parallel conference in London was a wonderful experience including new perspectives, evolving innovations, political challenges and valuable networking,” said Mary Sallach, director of integrated program delivery, Georgia 752 State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA).

She added: “This conference not only provided case studies and research but served as a meeting of minds shaping the future of transportation. The MaaS conferences highlight the need to work together to prepare for that future. Join us as we continue the discussion!”

The Atlanta conference has attracted participants from across the US and around the world who will debate the rapid MaaS progress being made to date - and the obstacles faced – both in Europe and the US.

Robin Chase, Transport entrepreneur and Founder, Zipcar.
Sampo Hietanen, CEO, MaaS Global
