Montreal to host 2017 ITS World Congress

ITS America has selected Montreal, Canada, as the site of the 2017 World Congress on intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Pat McGowan, an ITS America board member and president of Schneider Electric Transportation, who chaired the selection committee said: "The level of interest was high and the three finalists — Montreal, Los Angeles and Vancouver — all had very strong submissions," said McGowan. 560 ITS America has selected Montreal, Canada, as the site of the 2017 World Congress on intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

Pat McGowan, an ITS America board member and president of 729 Schneider Electric Transportation, who chaired the selection committee said: "The level of interest was high and the three finalists — Montreal, Los Angeles and Vancouver — all had very strong submissions," said McGowan. "We are pleased to recommend Montreal as host, given its high level of civic support, the opportunity to showcase the city's advances in ITS, and the economic package offered to support the planning and execution of the week-long World Congress program."

Michael de Santis, Chair of 74 ITS Canada noted, "We are extremely thrilled that Montreal was chosen to host the 24th 6456 ITS World Congress in 2017.
