CARTES Secure Connexions and MILIPOL PARIS, the world’s leading exhibition for technologies and solutions for internal state security, are to be held at the same time and place next year.

This follows on from 2013, when for the first time the two events were next door to one another. They share a few product areas – chiefly in the fields of passport/ID card technologies, biometrics and sophisticated access control solutions. “The 2013 experiment was considered a great success with about 3,000 professionals from each event visiting the other exhibition, discovering new business opportunities,” explains Michael Weatherseed, director of conference organiser Comexposium’s security business unit. “It was therefore an easy decision to co-locate again in 2015.” MILIPOL, like CARTES, is a truly international event: in 2013 there were 25,000 visitors (access restricted to professionals involved in security) from both the government and private sectors in 150 countries. There were also 915 exhibiting companies from 46 countries. Product areas range from secure information and communication solutions, surveillance systems, crisis management technologies, drones/robotics, protective clothing and specialised vehicles to identification solutions. In 2015 CARTES Secure Connexions will be held from 17-19 November and MILIPOL from 17-20 November at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre.
