A new mobile app called 7867 RideScout provides Transit as a Service (TaaS) by consolidating multiple public, private and social transit options in a single platform. Typing in a start and a finish location, users can get various point-to-point direction options from walking, taxi and bus to bike and car share. Fresh off RideScout’s acquisition by car2go, the company is looking to expand upon its 330 ride provider feeds and 70 locations in North America.

    Italy’s largest industrial company, oil and gas giant ENI, has asked all its third-party transport operators to use the new EGNOS system, which allows more accurate tracking of dangerous goods in transit.
