He leads the design, engineering, safety, quality, research and development, advanced vehicle technology and program management of the company's cars, trucks and crossovers around the world.
In addition, Reuss oversees GM’s Global purchasing and supply chain organisation, and is a member of its executive leadership team and the board of Shanghai General Motors.
Between 2009-2014, he was president of GM North America, where he was responsible for its performance, manufacturing, portfolio and dealer network.

Ford Motor is to launch an autonomous vehicle (AV) transportation service in Austin, Texas, by 2021.
Reuters says Ford is testing a self-driving system - developed with Argo AI, an AV technology company backed by Ford - in its Fusion Hybrid sedans.
Sherif Marakby, chief executive of Ford autonomous vehicles, says the company is planning to launch the service using hybrids that can carry either people or goods.

Laser Technology is showcasing its line of laser-based measurement instruments, highlighting real-world profile and event trigger deployments in North Carolina, Texas, Colorado and South America. The measurement systems are being used in red light cameras, license plate recognition and vehicle classification applications.
Finnish company Noptel plans to highlight its laser distance sensors used for traffic control at the World Congress. It will particularly be focusing on its Speeder X1 laser radar, which determines vehicle speed as well as its height and length.
Karhoo has joined forces with SNCF Mobilités to bring door-to-door transport services to travellers across France.
Boris Pilichowski, co-CEO Karhoo, says: “Enabling door-to-door transport for SNCF customers takes us a step closer to a truly integrated network while improving the passenger experience ten-fold.”
Karhoo has created a platform which it says enables travellers on SCNF’s high-speed trains to book first- and last-mile journeys by taxi or private hire vehicle.
Called Mon Chauffeur, the service
