The GNMC was officially launched as part of the UN Sustainable Development Impact Summit in New York City.
The 54th International Making Cities Livable Conference takes place in New Mexico, USA on 2-6 October 2017, with the theme of public places for community, democracy, health and equity.

New York City has won the 2018 Transport Achievement Award of the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The city’s Department of Transportation was recognised for its commitment to Vision Zero – a programme set up to help cut and eliminate traffic deaths.

Keolis Canada has ordered 12 electric Type C all-electric school buses from Lion Electric to transport hundreds of children in the Lanaudière region, Quebec.
The fleet will operate alongside two other Type C e-buses which Keolis ordered in 2016. Overall, the service is expected to transport 700 school students as of 2019.
A survey from Lion shows that public opinion is behind the move - more than 90% of the 907 respondents say they want schools and boards to promote the use of electric buses.

NKM Mobilitas has installed a Tritium liquid-cooled DC fast charger for electric vehicles (EV) at the Koki Terminál P+R, a parking facility in Budapest.
NKM Mobilitas is a subsidiary of National Utilities, the state Hungarian provider which supplies gas and electricity to households in the country.
Tritium’s Veefil-RT 50kW DC fast charger is expected to provide NKM Mobilitas’ customers with 125km of range in 30 minutes. The solution offers Chademo and CCS connectors as well as an interface and inte
