“We are thrilled to announce the promotions of Tiger and Jamie,” says Open Roads President Barbara Skiffington. “Tiger has outstanding knowledge of the ITS marketplace and over 20 years of experience developing and deploying ITS systems. We will be able to leverage his experience in understanding client needs and delivering quality services across the company.

Jamie offers experience in managing TMC operations and is a graduate of the Operations Academy. His understanding of ITS operations, the systems engineering process, and software development lifecycle will strengthen our ability to consistently deliver quality products and services on time and within budget.”

    Edesix is showing a new version of its VideoBadge, which deters confrontations between the public and enforcement staff by filming incidents. The original VideoBadge, which is worn on the enforcement or police officer’s clothing, was introduced in 2011; by sliding down the front, the camera lens was exposed and started to record the scene, while a visible sign saying ‘recording in process’ was revealed.     Denso is showing what it says are the largest head-up display (HUD) images to be used in a vehicle environment. Its system – although in a slightly smaller format – has already been installed in Kia’s new K9 luxury car and Denso says it is in talks with US and European manufacturers over adopting the system. The image area produced by the HUD on Denso’s stand measures 230 x 90mm, with road information such as speed limits and directions being projected into the driver’s line of sight.
