Kentkart expands into ticketing

Turkish public transport intelligent transportation systems (ITS) company Kentkart has become the majority shareholder in ticketing solutions provider Apex Technology Solution, the company which implemented the Belgrade’s BusPlus system for automatic fare collection and vehicle management. The company says the BusPlus system successfully launched in Belgrade in 2012 is enables monitoring of vehicles in real time and is one of the most complex fare collection and fleet management in public transport systems

Turkish public transport intelligent transportation systems (ITS) company 6766 KentKart has become the majority shareholder in ticketing solutions provider Apex Technology Solution, the company which implemented the Belgrade’s BusPlus system for automatic fare collection and vehicle management.

The company says the BusPlus system successfully launched in Belgrade in 2012 is enables monitoring of vehicles in real time and is one of the most complex fare collection and fleet management in public transport systems that it has implemented.  It also provides next stop audio announcements in the vehicle, together with real time passenger information displays at bus-stops, as well as via android mobile app.

According to Kentkart's general manager, Ercan Unal, Kentkart will continue to invest in new technologies for European public transport.  “We see potential in Serbia and believe we will grow faster with this new acquisition. Kentkart and Apex Technologies are targeting to provide the most advanced technologies in public transportation with this new acquisition in Europe”, he said.
