The importance of this event cannot be overstated. Located just across the Potomac River, the Annual Meeting is bringing the case for ITS directly to legislators on the federal, state and local levels. It will capitalize on the momentum generated by the 18th World Congress ITS in Orlando, Florida, which showcased ITS in action and featured the foremost thought leaders in in the industry, by continuing the conversation with national lawmakers and policy leaders about how transportation technology is an affordable solution that can be implemented now.

The meeting theme, “Smart Transportation: A Future We Can Afford,” will focus on how ITS offers affordable solutions to the world’s transportation challenges.

The packed program includes plenary sessions and special roundtables for investors and the media in addition to ancillary meetings held by such organizations as the US Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. The exposition and networking events will be ideal for building business development networks and the conference program, demonstrations and technical tours will provide attendees with a fresh look at the emerging projects, products, and services that are changing surface transportation.
