ITS Canada honours Joe Lam with Distinguished Member of the Year Award

With  more than 40 years of experience in traffic control and management systems, he has been with Delcan for 32 years and is an internationally recognised expert with strong influence on ITS issues both in Canada and around the world. He served as chairman of ITS Canada for six consecutive two-year terms and the organisation says his vast experience and knowledge, coupled with his leadership and dedication to the development of ITS, make him an exemplary recipient of the Distinguished Member of the Year Award.

“Mr. Lam is considered one of the fathers of ITS in Canada and around the world” noted Carl Kuhnke, executive director of ITS Canada. “He was instrumental in securing the first World Congress to ever be held in Canada and has devoted countless hours to mentoring ITS professionals.”
