The ITS Austria stand at World Congress
Austria is hosting the ITS World Congress, so you might expect something special on the 5499 ITS Austria stand. Well you are not going to be disappointed!
About 40 Austrian companies will be represented on Stand E10 to show their products and services. For example, together with the Vienna Transport Authority, 6621 Telereal will show its ‘multi-sensual’ sign system, a new type of info point for people with hearing, visual or physical impairments.
2264 IPTE will present a ‘virtual’ game fence to mitigate against vehicle and large animal incidents. These wildlife warning systems can be installed along stretches of road that are particularly at risk. They recognise when vehicles are approaching and warn wild animals, such as deer, using light signals and ultra-high-frequency sounds.
6623 Innovametall will show an all-in-one infrastructure solution for electromobility called Safetydock – a locker system with an integrated charging station.
Meanwhile, 6624 ITS Vienna Region will show an intermodal traffic service for eastern Austria that integrates current traffic data into route planning and also plans bicycle and walking routes. Further exhibitors at the ITS Austria stand include 6620 BMVIT, 4793 AustriaTech, AIT – 6625 Austrian Institute of Technology, ÖBB, and 750 ASFINAG.

The Borum stand at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 promises to be a busy place. The company says Borum partners from all over the world will be there to provide professional advice on line marking equipment. And the company will be unveiling some innovations for mounting on all of its machines, including a bead alarm (a sensor mounted on the bead gun to detect a stop of bead flow and provide an alarm) and an air dryer for a bead tank which Borum says is especially useful in areas with a high level of humidity.
