An Australian delegation of more than 150 professionals will participate in the 21st Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress in Detroit.

Addressing the Congress theme Reinventing Transportation in our Connected World, 30 members of the Australian contingent will make presentations during the conference.  In addition, 858 ITS Australia is hosting a national pavilion on Congress Exhibition stand 1728 to showcase the technologies of five major Australian intelligent transport systems organisations that supply global markets.

ITS Australia chief executive officer Susan Harris said ITS Australia is a keen participant in every World Congress. “ITS Australia members value the World Congress experience and the benefits it delivers, particularly since hosting the 2001 World Congress in Sydney,” said Susan Harris.

“To demonstrate our commitment to the World Congress concept, we will launch the ITS Australia 2016 Asia Pacific Student Excellence Scholarship Program at Detroit. This Scholarship Program offers sponsorships to up to 10 students representing ITS Asia Pacific associations to attend the 23rd 6456 ITS World Congress 2016 in Melbourne, Australia.

“ITS Australia created this Scholarship Program to support and encourage student participation, not just attendance, at the Congress, and to recognise student excellence in our Asia Pacific Region. We will be encouraging nominations for the ITS Australia 2016 Asia Pacific Student Excellence Scholarship Program during the Detroit Congress,” said Harris.

Entries for the Scholarship Program close 1 November 2014 and details can be found %$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 oLinkExternal here Visit: http://www.itsworldcongress2016.com/home/student-scholarships false http://www.itsworldcongress2016.com/home/student-scholarships false false%>.
