The US Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to issue deployment guidance on connected vehicles to transportation infrastructure owner/operators in 2015 and is seeking input on what would best support decision-making and deployments at the state and local level.

Okeenea already produces its more conventional accessible pedestrian signal (APS). Silca Traffic Systems Europe is launching its newly-developed portable Roof Drip information display. Designed to help quickly inform and manage traffic and other situations, the mobile information display is installed in a case that can be fitted on the roof of any delivery van or car.
According to the company, the biggest benefit is that users always have a safety information display with them to deal with an incident.
The District Department of Transportation (DDoT) in Washington, DC is working with CurbFlow to carry out the next phase of its kerbside pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) programme.
DDoT says the programme allocates kerbside space for PUDO activities, allowing passenger and commercial loading to occur at the kerb and out of travel lanes.
