73 Iteris is introducing at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 its revolutionary new video image processing platform, designed for high performance detection while reducing time, space, and cost. The company says that VantageNext combines nearly 20 years of global video detection expertise with the most innovative system available today.

The system features a scalable ultrafast processing platform built into a unique 19-inch EIA (1U) rack-mount form factor, providing processing of four simultaneous video cameras, full-motion (30fps) streaming video through a new Windows-based software tool, as well as both iPad and iPhone applications.

For the first time, programming and adjusting zones may be remotely accomplished over a secure network with a live, full motion video feed. Automatic traffic counting functionality is provided for real-time data collection, along with a new camera form factor, that includes the latest technology for heating in cold weather, and a hydrophilic lens coating that reduces camera maintenance and ensures low life cycle cost.

According to Todd Kreter, senior vice president of engineering, “VantageNext was designed to meet the growing needs of the intelligent traffic management market. Because it incorporates some of the latest technologies, we believe VantageNext is the most advanced video detection system platform available today.”

VantageNext builds on Iteris’ long-standing leadership position in the marketplace, and is immediately available for shipment through its worldwide network of distributors and direct sales offices.
