Bill Sowell with the new Vantage Next
73 Iteris has used this ITS America Annual Meeting to stage the world launch of Vantage Next, a product addition to its Vantage video detection product suite. The company says the new product represents the industry’s most advanced video detection system, featuring a scalable processing platform that provides full-motion streaming video, real time traffic data collection, and on-board Ethernet communications.

Vantage Next’s powerful platform supports the expansion of intelligent transportation systems applications and easily integrates with above ground sensing technologies. It also provides set-up simplicity and low life-cycle cost, and uses a single CAT5e cable to provide power and communications for full-motion video and data transmission.

“We designed Next to meet the growing needs of the intelligent traffic management market,” said Abbas Mohaddes, president and CEO of Iteris. “Incorporating some of the most advanced technologies available today, we believe it will be the most robust detection system platform available in the marketplace.”

Iteris says that Vantage Next builds on its proven Vantage video vehicle detection technology that has been deployed throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The company has more than 100,000 video detection sensors operational worldwide.
