Attendance at the 22nd 70 Intertraffic Amsterdam, the world’s leading trade event for infrastructure, ITS traffic management, safety and parking, which concluded on 28 March, reached a new level.

Close to 800 companies from 43 countries exhibited their products and services to a worldwide audience of traffic professionals. The smart Mobility Centre programme was more comprehensive than ever with over 100 free-to-attend activities. IntertrafficLive, a unique live stream programme straight from the exhibition floor made it possible for those who couldn’t make it to Amsterdam to get a flavour of what was on show. The seventh Intertraffic Innovation Award was 7623 HR Groep Traffic & Signing for its MB Track & Trace solution.

A grand total of 26,819 professionals from no less than 128 countries visited the show during its four days, 71 per cent of whom were from outside the Netherlands.  There was also a noticeable increase in the number of decision-making visitors in a senior management position.

Visitors and exhibitors were keen to share their views on the show; Vinny Alvino, product manager Traffic Safety at 1777 Laser Technology, US commented:  “Intertraffic Amsterdam allows us to showcase our products, both established and new, to a worldwide customer base that we simply cannot find at any other international show.”

James Wilson, Sales & Marketing Director of Quazar International, said “Intertraffic 2014 was for us the best yet. A steady flow of visitors across all four days - many familiar faces of course, but also a great number of new contacts made from new markets for us. A resounding success!”  Emmanuel Lelarge, Head of Business Unit of Sterela, France added: “We have been exhibiting at Intertraffic for 20 years and we still meet the same high quantity and quality of contacts. Great show!”  According to Petra Leja, sales manager of BD Bulloneria Dadi, Italy, Intertraffic Amsterdam is a great occasion to meet people operating in the same sector all over the world. “You meet all your clients in a few days and have the opportunity to make a lot of new contacts. We highly recommend this show and look forward to the next edition.”

Joyce de Winter, Intertraffic product manager at Amsterdam RAI is clearly proud that the show was widely considered a huge success. “I am delighted with all the positive feedback from many exhibitors that have actually labelled this edition the best one so far. This gives us as organisers a nice challenge for 2016.”
