73 Iteris and 163 Inrix have teamed up to help transportation agencies better understand the performance of their network and how the different modes are working together. The partnership integrates Inrix’s real-time and historical traffic information with IterisPeMS, the company’s data collection, diagnostic, fusion and warehousing platform.

“Tracking the performance of traffic modes is entirely dependent on data,” said Ramin Massoumi, Vice President of Transportation Systems for Iteris. “Partnering with Inrix gives our traffic management software more data points to analyze and enables better management of transportation systems.”

IterisPeMS analyzes traffic data from multiple sources to measure how a transportation network is performing and what is needed to improve it. It also provides users with easy-to-use visualization and animation features for both historical and predictive traffic conditions.

“Our comprehensive, nationwide data set fills important gaps in agency coverage that, when combined with an agency’s existing data and IterisPeMS, can help agencies manage and measure road network performance with significantly greater precision,” said Rick Schuman, Vice President of Public Sector for Inrix.
