In addition to its its intelligent traffic and urban transport management systems, the company will highlight its success in San Sebastian in a presentation which will look at the smart mobility project implemented on bus lines in the city and intercity buses in the Basque region of Guipúzcoa.

The project includes a set of systems aimed at achieving more efficient, ecological and sustainable mobility, including a bus priority system that uses GPS to improve travel times on public transportation. The system links the bus GPS system to the traffic light control centre to speed up or extend the time for green lights when a bus is due to pass, giving priority to public transportation as well as enabling priority for a delayed vehicle in terms of its scheduled timetable.

The solution also includes a passenger information system, enabling estimated arrivals and messaging at stops to be managed, providing passengers with real time information, with the vehicle's estimated arrival and location as well as service warnings or incidents. The system also includes a contactless rechargeable card valid for public transportation in San Sebastián and Guipúzcoa.

Bus operations in San Sebastián and of Guipúzcoa are controlled by operations support systems (OSS) that provides efficient management for both private and public transportation operators and authorities.
