Gulf Traffic takes a new direction

The 2017 Gulf Traffic Exhibition and Conference, which will take place 4-6 December at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is taking a new direction, focusing on intelligent transport solutions (ITS), smart innovations and parking, along with a full re-brand. The new stand-alone Gulf Parking exhibition, which will run adjacent to Gulf Traffic, will cater to the latest in smart payment and intelligent access control solutions from across the world.

Also new for 2017 is the implementation of Smart Zone areas which will enable exhibitors to showcase the latest ITS and smart technology products through a dedicated exhibition space and Smart Mobility conference.

The new E-Mobility Zone will showcase four vehicle companies that are pioneering the development and implementation of electric vehicles, within a live action zone including demos and seminars.

Officially supported by the UAE’s Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Gulf Traffic plans to host over 150 exhibitors and attract approximately 2,500 industry peers from 50 countries, both across the Middle East and beyond.

    Scooter-share firm Bird is to acquire Scoot, a San Francisco-based electric vehicle (EV) company. Scoot began deploying electric scooters in San Francisco in 2012 and has expanded in Santiago, Chile and Barcelona. Travis VanderZanden, founder and CEO of Bird says the partnership will work toward replacing “car trips with micro mobility options for all”.
