Digital security provider 3866 Gemalto has made its Protiva Cloud Confirm strong authentication solution compatible with the HP CloudSystem for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), under the HP Helion cloud portfolio.

The easy-to-deploy solution integrates seamlessly with CSPs' existing or future infrastructures, providing secure, frictionless access to cloud-based services for HP's CSP customers and their end users. Protiva Cloud Confirm features mobile one-time-password (OTP) capabilities coupled with a multi-tenant authentication server.

The global cloud computing market is expected to reach more than US$158 billion by 2014 and the key to continued adoption will be ensuring the trust that brings peace of mind to end users. Gemalto's HP-compatible solution addresses the need for form factor versatility in identity authentication in addition to a detailed reporting platform for CSPs to monitor user activity and account creation. The solution also enables CSPs to provide a self-service end user activation process that eliminates the need for helpdesk calls related to password resets, a value added service which represents a substantial overall reduction in costs.
