UK independent vehicle test, validation and engineering services provider Millbrook Group has been awarded an extension certificate for seat belt anchorage and pedestrian impact tests by the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS). This is in addition to the recent commissioning of the roll over and small offset testing facility for full scale crashes.

Millbrook’s crash test and safety capabilities include: corkscrew roll over and small-offset testing (opened in Q3 2016); full scale vehicle crash testing to a wide range of global and corporate standards, a ServoSled laboratory, wide range of test dummies with on-site calibration and certification, airbag deployment (including abuse and misuse), pendulum impact testing.

Millbrook’s existing sled testing capabilities were enhanced with the installation of an upgraded ServoSled last year. This led to improved accuracy and repeatability of tests, including accurate test pulses matching a crash test or CAE pulse. It is the first facility of its kind in the UK, and is supported by recent investment in the latest high speed, high definition camera equipment.
