EVgo says the power ratings from its fast-chargers range from 50 kW to 350 kW and is convenient for drivers using their EV for ride-sharing and those without home or workplace charging.

The chargers are located at the following locations:

  • Downtown: La Kretz Innovative Campus, 525 S. Hewitt Street.
  • Downtown: Aiso Street Parking Garage: 101 Judge John Aiso Street.
  •  Hermosa Beach: Lazy Acres, 2510 Pacific Coast Highway, Hermosa Beach.

This energy is then used to deliver a fast charge to customer vehicles during periods of high demand.

The second-life battery system integrates two BMW i3 battery packs into a single housing.

According to Evgo, each battery pack has a capacity of 22 kWh which combines with a 30 kW inverter to offer a 30 kW/44 kWh energy storage system.

Princeton Power Systems provided the inverter hardware and integrated it with the battery packs. Technology firm Kisensum delivered the software controls for the battery system and managed software integration.
