The only conference in the world that brings together these sectors in the same place, the summit will offer insights across the industry into the future direction of technology, its commercial applications and its adoption by consumers. Kicking off the summit will be a forecast and analysis of the market by Oyvind Rastad, chairman of Eurosmart, the international digital security industry association. He will present the latest market figures and explore major future trends, including a forecast for 2014 and 2015 and numbers on worldwide shipment of microcontroller- based Smart Secure Devices.

He will also share his thoughts on security and make recommendations on how the industry should approach some of its main challenges. A full report on the Eurosmart presentation will be available in the first issue of the CARTES Daily News on Tuesday 4 November. The summit keynote speech is to be delivered by François-Xavier Godron, director of NFC Orange’s programme, who will discuss the status and challenges of the multi-national telecom provider’s NFC rollout in France. The panel discussions which follow will focus on three key topics: Innovation for Payment and Retail, Privacy for the Digital Society, and Connectivity and Intelligence: Internet of Things, Mobility and M2M.
