European mobility start-up prize open for entries

A European accelerator programme that supports sustainable mobility solutions is now open. The jury includes Karima Delli, chairwoman of the European Parliament’s Transport and Tourism Committee – who launched the award - and Violeta Bulc, European commissioner for transport. The public-private initiative was co-founded by 4055 Boston Consulting Group and Via ID and is supported by the European Parliament and 1690 European Commission as well as partners such as ADP, GRDF, 4966 Europcar Mobility Group and RATP.

The 10 winners, to be announced at prize ceremony in Brussels on 11 April 2019, will have the opportunity to visit several events in Europe next year, including the ITS European Congress in June 2019. Four Gold Award winners will also win entrepreneurial, business and legal mentoring to help grow their operations in Europe and beyond.

Five hundred start-ups participated in last year’s edition of the EUSP, with winners including 8571 MaaS Global’s Whim app.

The top 50 start-ups will be selected by the jury to progress on 25 February.

Submissions must be in by 21 January, 2019.
