The Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) has awarded US$1107 million of road construction projects to China Hunan Hunda Road & Bridge Construction and Spanish company UTE Elsamex.
UTE Elsamex will upgrade 63.3 kilometres of gravel road to asphalt concrete; the total cost of US$60 million will be covered by a loan from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank (WB).
