Encouraging the new generation of ITS entrepreneurs

A select group of startups will have the chance to rub elbows Wednesday evening with ITS leaders and strategic investment firms at a special reception on the top floor of the Crowne Plaza Detroit Downtown Riverfront Hotel. These entrepreneurs, early-stage startups and mid-stage startups are hoping to secure their next round of investment to help fund development, sales, marketing and general growth.

A select group of startups will have the chance to rub elbows Wednesday evening with ITS leaders and strategic investment firms at a special reception on the top floor of the Crowne Plaza Detroit Downtown Riverfront Hotel. These entrepreneurs, early-stage startups and mid-stage startups are hoping to secure their next round of investment to help fund development, sales, marketing and general growth.

Econolite helped organise the event and is a corporate sponsor with
5387 Raymond James & Associates and 1072 Fontinalis Partners. More than 60 companies applied for an invitation, and 13 were selected.

“There are always a number of exciting new technologies that smart people are working on, but in the past there hasn’t been a place for them to show off,” said Mike Doyle, CEO, 1763 Econolite. “The investor matching reception gives them a chance to put together a business plan and pitch to the investor community.” The startups participating in the investor matching event are based at the Entrepreneurial Village on the showroom floor (see page 10 for more details).
